Fuji'' created by Katsushika Hokusai, an ukiyo-e artist from the late Edo period.It is characterized by its unusual geometric composition, in which huge timbers are arranged diagonally, and the triangular shape of Mt. Fuji can be seen from between the triangular pillars that support it.
In woodblock prints, parts are inserted into notches, an expression that is not found in other designs.
