The Spelto Bassinet Helmet is a handcrafted, medieval visor combat helmet from the 14th century for Buhurt.
In contemporary medieval full-contact fighting, the Spoleto Bassinet is one of the most dependable helmet designs, particularly among competitors in the Buhurt, HMB, IMCF, and SCA competitions.
This helmet provides exceptional protection, comfort, and historical style, making it suitable for both dueling and team combat.
This style, which was inspired by the development of the traditional 14th-century bassinet, has an integrated interior padded liner for shock absorption, an enlarged rear neck guard, and a flat-faced visor. It is easy to lift for breathing in between bouts and is kept firmly closed during impact thanks to a visor lock button.
The Spoleto Bassinet is made of 1.024 mm M steel and may be completely customized in terms of finish and material. We choose tempered or mild steel for buhurts because of its higher resilience to severe hits, even though titanium offers weight-saving benefits for fighting.
