The camera has an automatic recording option, which is enabled by default. As long as it is powered by your Android car stereo via USB, it will automatically start recording when you start the engine. Even if the "DVR CAM" app is not running, the automatic recording function will not be affected or interrupted.
Important videos can be locked to avoid deletion due to repeated recordings. You can click the "Take Photo" button to have the camera take a photo. Additionally, this camera has a built-in microphone and users can disable it if needed.
It's always easier to view your recorded files via the large HD touchscreen than with a dash cam with a small screen and difficult to use buttons. Note: AC-44P2 1080P USB DVR on-dash camera is not suitable for vertical car windshield.
