"PRO1D R-Snow Cross (W)" is a 6-line cross effect.
Kenko's three standard cross filters have been renewed with the PRO1D series.
"PRO1D R-Snow Cross (W)" is a 6-line cross effect.
A cross filter makes point light sources such as illuminations shine with a cross effect.
In addition to night views and illuminations, it is effective for fireworks, stars, reflections on water surfaces, sunlight filtering through trees, and dotted luminous areas such as jewelry.
It makes the light shine in a fantastical way and adds accent to your photos.
●Make point light sources shine with cross effects
There are thin grooves carved into the surface of the filter glass, and when there is a point light source on the subject, light streaks are generated, making it sparkle.
●You can change the angle of the cross by turning the front frame.
You can change the angle of the cross by turning the front frame (rotation frame).
Adjust while carefully checking the balance between the subject and the cross line in the viewfinder or LCD monitor.
It can also be used for video production.
- Prevents reflection with digital multi-coating with surface reflection of 0.5% or less.
- The outer periphery of the glass is painted to prevent internal reflections to the utmost.
- Thin frame design that prevents vignetting even with wide-angle lenses.
- Knurling process that makes it easy to attach and remove the filter.

●When taking pictures
-You can change the angle of the cross by turning the front frame (rotation frame).
・The cross effect appears on point light sources. Not suitable for linear light sources such as fluorescent lights.
・The cross effect varies depending on the strength of the light source, lens focal length, and aperture value.
- In flat lighting conditions with no shine on the subject, the overall effect will be slightly soft.
・Depending on the shooting conditions, mesh-like flare may occur. (When backlit, when there is a strong light source)
- The mesh pattern of the filter may be reflected in the blurred areas.
- When shooting illuminations, etc., if the image is too dark, adjust the exposure compensation to the + side; if it is too bright, adjust the exposure compensation to the - side.
・Please note that at wide angle (wide side), the rays may become distorted or broken lines.
