Since sizes are available in approximately 1cm increments, this hat can be worn by both men and women.
On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson became the first African-American to play in a modern major league game, paving the way for people of color to play in the MLB.
In honor of this achievement, 50 years later, on April 15, 1997, all teams retired Jackie Robinson's uniform number, 42 (except the Yankees, who retired it in 2014 after Rivera's retirement).
Since 2007, any player who wished to do so has been allowed to wear the number 42 on April 15th, and now all players wear the number 42 when playing.
This is a Jackie Robinson Day commemorative model cap.
